This has been an tantalizing year for the Nba playoffs, with both tantalizing series and lackluster matchups taking place. Here is a brief espy at what’s happened if you haven’t been watching.

The Charlotte Bobcats squared off against the defending Eastern consulation champions, the Orlando Magic. A lot of citizen felt that the Magic’s run last year was a fluke and they weren’t that good. No one is saying such things anymore, they have been rolling straight through the competition and it started with a 4-0 sweep of Charlotte.

The Chicago Bulls faced off against the number one seed, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Every person had high expectations for this years Cavs, as it was potentially Lebron James’ last year in Cleveland. Lebron and the Cavs took care of company and beat the Bulls in 5 games, 4-1.

Dwane Wade and his Miami Heat faced the veteran Boston Celtics in a rather boring series. Wade just doesn’t have the talent nearby him to make any serious noise. The Celtics beat the Heat without much of a problem. I wish Wade weren’t so loyal because he has the inherent to be one of the greats if he were on a championship caliber team.

The best series of the playoffs thus far has been the Atlanta Hawks vs. The Milwaukee Bucks. The Hawks had been doing damage all season with a solid core of Joe Johnson, Al Horford and Josh Smith. The Bucks would not go down without a fight though. This series went to 7 games, and quite frankly, I’m shocked the Bucks didn’t pull this one out.

In the second round of the Eastern consulation Playoffs, the Orlando Magic faced the Atlanta Hawks. Apparently Atlanta was article with their victory over the Bucks, because they didn’t even show up for this one. It was an embarrassing display, losing 4-0 to the Magic and all but assuring Joe Johnson’s departure from Atlanta.

The Cavs and the Celtics faced off on the other side of town, in a pretty good series. The Cavs went up 2-1, but then proceeded the next three games. Cavs fans everywhere began to panic, because it is very perhaps that King James will leave Cleveland this offseason. If they can’t even make it to the Eastern consulation finals, he doesn’t have a shot to win.

The Eastern consulation finals is taking place now between the Magic and Celtics. The Magic are fighting a losing battle and are down 3 games to 1, with small hope of pulling out an additional one W. There’s always next year.
